BROTHERLY LOVE {MINI SESSION}

Meet Aidan & Jack. Brothers and cutie pies all in one! This was a quick mini session that lasted about 1/2 an hour. They had fun tackling eachother and I had fun catching some great poses and gorgeous smiles!

TAYLOR {2012 SENIOR}

Wow! What can I say? There are not enough good words to describe this young man and the joy I had photographing him. Taylor, in just the few hours that I spent with him and his mom, was one of the nicest humans to be around. He was very much reserved and really didn't say a whole lot. As a person standing behind a high tech piece of equipment that is made to capture a person's soul, you realize how to "view" someone without hearing them speak. Taylor has eyes that smile. They are kind and still filled with that child-like wonder and innocence that I see in my toddlers eyes. I was amazed by that actually. I could see this teenager who resembles somewhat of a twenty-something man at times, but then I would catch a glimpse of a little boy in his smirks and looks he would give his mother. I look at my little boy and my baby girl and wonder what it will be like when they become teens, and I hope we will have a bound that I saw between Taylor and his mom. If I sit back and take in all the little things that come with my photo shoots I realize that they give me so much appreciation for life. This one taught me not to worry so much about my kids growing up too fast. Look at them for who they are today and don't cry about what they were yesterday. That no matter how old they are, they will always be a part of you. That when they become a man or a woman there will still be that innocent child looking out through their eyes.

The Isabelle In Isaac & Isabelle

This is my sweet baby girl, my Isabelle. She is a gift sent to us from God, and with her came so many more gifts. She has given so much to me. My children came to me after many years of anxiously waiting. Then a whirlwind happened and I turn around and find myself with the sweetest baby boy and on top of that a precious baby girl. I could spend hours telling you of all the wonderful things that they have brought to our family! I won't bore you with all those little mushy details, but I can share a little of how they have changed ME.

Isaac & Isabelle opened my eyes. I feel like I see the world clearly now. I can see what is really important in this short little life. That everything is a little bit magical, even the littlest of moments are to be treasured. Innocence is too quickly lost in this day in age so live your best everyday. Enjoy every tiny thing, if you can, smile, laugh, play, dream, be open minded, judge not, cry when you hurt, get over it fast, if you fall get up, and most of all....LOVE. Today I'm sharing a picture of Isabelle. When I saw that baby flipping and kicking on the ultrasound screen I smiled the biggest smile. Then the tech says "well, seems like this is the day for girls!" I asked, "what, it's a girl!!?!?" I was really surprised! I turned, looked at Todd, grabbed his hand & started crying. The good cry. From that second on I started oozing girly-ness. I became more creative. She has been my inspiration to find myself. To really be who I am deep down. To not be afraid that other people won't like my ideas. I never realized I wasn't being true to myself, as far as style and creating goes, until recently. Now I look back to things from my childhood and I tell myself, "DUH!". I remember how as a child I loved my aunts house because she had hardwood floors and an Indiana Kitchen. I always looked forward to visits to my grand-fathers house because it was historic. I wanted to major in History, if I ever went to college. At the age of seven I can remember running my hand over the velvet damask wallpaper in our living room, and admiring the height of the ceilings in our home. So here, at the age of 30, I find myself wearing vintage style clothing, sewing with vintage materials, and taking vintage inspired photographs. I love it to no end and I have loved it since I was 7 years old. You know I heard once that who you are when you're 6 years old is who you will always be. Hummm, interesting!!Thank you Isabelle! I love you!

Sarah & Mike {An Engagement}

There are those couples that you wonder about. What brings two people together, what makes them tick, what makes their love so strong? Spend just a little bit of time with Sarah & Mike and you won't wonder for long. He can make a face, shoot her a goofy face, or say something unexpected and all of sudden she laughs. Laughs that real kinda laugh, the one that comes from the inside. He makes her smile. You can see how he already cherishes her and is protective of her . I don't know what makes any two human beings fall for one another, but I can tell when two human beings can make the other smile, laugh, or just be happy. Mike & Sarah I hope that you always make each other smile!! Thank you for allowing me to capture some of your time together.xoxo~Michelle
